During the past 12 months, the team at Holscot Ltd have been busy developing
their expertise in modular ETFE structures.
We have now added pentagon and hexagonal panels to our modular product range, thereby
enabling us to offer dome-shaped structures, canopies, atriums or roofs that can be of a
standard or bespoke design, small or large.
Our unique and simple joining system means that the lightweight panels can be manufactured
offsite and built in-situ quickly and efficiently – with no need for the ongoing cost and
maintenance of inflated panels.
Bio-Domes made with ETFE
Bio-Domes made with ETFE offer the end-user a range of benefits; the material is significantly
lighter than glass yet extremely resistant, durable, and recyclable, it allows the transmission of
almost the entire wavelength of Solar Radiation from UV to Infra-Red (NOTE our eyes only see
part of the spectrum). These properties have beneficial applications in horticulture, agriculture
and indoor/outdoor living, as the polymer transforms an environment to a warmer climate
immediately it is constructed.
Our original prototype ETFE structure has now been standing for 10 years and continues to
provide us with a wealth of information. We are particularly looking for interested parties who
wish to work with us on developing the existing prototypes to explore their full potential.
