An unsurpassed range of FEP and PFA Heat shrinkable sleeving to fit all diameters in a wide variety of thicknesses. The recognised solution to provide non-stick roll covers across a wide range of Industries.
Holscot offers the most complete range of seamless heat shrink tubing & sleeves in fluoroplastic materials which encompass a wide range of standard sizes.
FEP heat shrink tubing / sleeving
standard wall thickness of 0.5mm, 1mm & 1.5mm
with diameters (OD) ranging from 12mm to 450mm+
suitable for operating temperatures up to 150-160C
PFA heat shrink tubing / sleeving
standard wall thickness of 0.5mm 0.6mm & 1.5mm
with diameters (OD) ranging from 25mm to 450mm+
suitable for operating temperatures up to 210C
We also manufacture larger sleeves diameters with an almost imperceptible weld. The sleeve maintains the same strength as seamless and has a low level of material distortion.
Since all the tubing and sleeves sold by Holscot are made on our UK based extrusion lines we can also offer unsurpassed customisation, with the ability to customise the primary extrusion and or tailor make the expansion.
We recognise every customers application is unique.
With over 50 years experience we can also offer a fitting service. In the UK or EU we can come to you or via a partner elsewhere across the world, we can fit sleeves onto your rollers at either our sites in England or Scotland. Finally , we can also offer verbal advise and training, with instructions and videos.
FEP and PFA have the ability that, once expanded under temperature, they will try to return to their original condition when subjected to similar temperatures.
In order for the heat shrink sleeve to return to it original size and shape, heat needs to be applied. This can be done with use of a hot air gun, steam or even an oven can be used in the right circumstances. Holscot can make recommendations on the best heat source for your needs.
Heat shrink sleeves have a number of useful properties that make them suitable for a number of applications. These properties include:
Although primarily used to provide non-stick surfaces to rollers, bars and rods, the inertness of these Fluoropolymers can be advantageous in protecting chemical equipment such as agitator shafts, spargers and dip pipes. FEP Heat Shrink sleeving is also used as a protective sleeve for lamps (see Lamp Protection)
