At Holscot, we can provide a innovative new service to cover advanced hydrogen filament wound storage tanks with secondary containment sleeves made from FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene). Our sleeve improves the safety and performance of carbon filament wound storage tanks.
Working with Holscot you will benefit from our over 50 years of experience with fluoropolymers and proven project management.
Our sleeves are engineered in FEP with up to a 3mm wall thickness, offering exceptional durability to withstand high-impact forces as well as chemical and solvent corrosion, throughout the tank’s lifespan. Giving you the ultimate in chemical and impact resistance as well as being a durable non-combustible barrier.
FEP is a cutting-edge material, known for its longevity bringing a range of unparalleled benefits:
Holscot can fabricate an internal FEP liner / bladder, able to withstand refrigeration down to -200C, which is then overwrapped with carbon fibre. This can be offered as an alternative or in conjunction with the external containment sleeve.
To further enhance functionality, we offer the option to include integrated probes beneath the surface. These probes can monitor key parameters such as temperature or detect the escape of gas, allowing for rapid and effective purging of tank contents when necessary.
Our FEP secondary containment sleeves for hydrogen storage tanks with are designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern industries. Whether for hydrogen storage or other critical applications, FEP’s exceptional properties ensure safety, longevity, and outstanding performance under extreme conditions.
