Production belts made from FEP or PFA are increasingly popular due to their non-stick nature, ability to withstand high and low temperatures & chemical inertness.
Holscot works with machine manufacturers to create fluoropolymer production belts in FEP that improve processing efficiency by harnessing the benefits of fluoropolymers which are known for their non-stick properties as well as, operating heat range and chemical resistance.
We create belts in both 100% FEP / PFA or glass backed FEP / PFA and meeting the needs of a wide variety of industries, for example:
If you choose to buy from Holscot you will be buying direct from the manufacturer, with your custom product extruded on-site in our UK factory, using FDA approved materials if required. We have installation experts who can travel worldwide to carry out the final closing seam on site if required.
We offer several thicknesses of material which can be glass backed for additional strength and durability. Our in-house extrusion manufactures belts up to 400mm seamless diameter, at any length. Our widest belt is 1350mm using our excellent welding skills, and length to suit your process. The belts are formed using Holscot’s welding technology which provides a smooth seam at the joint which will ensure the end product is not marked in ongoing production.
If you have an industrial, production or manufacturing process that might benefit from using the properties of fluoropolymers contact us.
When FEP or PFA is combined with a glass backing the result is a remarkable material that combines the proven chemical resistance properties of FEP or PFA film with a glass backed cloth which is formed into one homogeneous entity. This almost indestructible material is free from any fillers or binders. It is inert to virtually all chemicals and solvents and offers a surface which is the ultimate in non-stick. The knitted glass cloth backing is designed to allow bonding to almost any substrate or overwrapping with GRP. The glass cloth will accept epoxy polyesters, thermosetting resins and some general purpose adhesives so long-lasting bonds are easily achieved. Since FEP and PFA are stress-crack resistant and the glass cloth is multi-directional, thermoforming is possible.
