Holscot works with machine manufacturers to create fluoropolymer production belts in FEP that improve processing efficiency by harnessing the benefits of fluoropolymers which are known for their non-stick properties as well as, operating heat range and chemical resistance.

We create belts in both 100% FEP / PFA or glass backed FEP / PFA and meeting the needs of a wide variety of industries, for example: 

• They can simply replace existing production belts giving the benefit of easy release of product from the production surface, improving production speeds, reducing clean down time and eliminating blockages.

• They can be used as applicators of sticky materials enabling easier application and release.  Recently Holscot have been produced FEP belts for use in the application of fillers or adhesives to various substrates including natural wooden floors where the fillers are used to take out irregularities in the floor surface. The fillers are activated by UV light and, because FEP allows 97% of UV to transmit through it, the UV can access the fillers unimpeded.  See our case study here.

• Belts constructed using FEP or PFA glass backed laminate have also been used also in a variety of applications where the non-stick and chemical resistant properties of the material make it the most appropriate choice. They have been used to lay up polyurethane and also for the transportation of flocculating gel (super absorbent Sodium Polyacrylate).

If you choose to buy from Holscot you will be buying direct from the manufacturer, with your custom product extruded on-site in our UK factory, using FDA approved materials if required.  We have installation experts who can travel worldwide to carry out the final closing seam on site if required.   

We offer several thicknesses of material which can be glass backed for additional strength and durability.  Our in-house extrusion manufactures belts up to 400mm seamless diameter, at any length. Our widest belt is 1350mm using our excellent welding skills, and length to suit your process.  The belts are formed using Holscot’s welding technology which provides a smooth seam at the joint which will ensure the end product is not marked in ongoing production.
