Otherwise known as Halar™, it is commonly used as a coating where its excellent chemical resistance and abrasion resistance makes it an ideal choice for valves and pumps. In sheet for it is used as a liner for steel and GRP vessels and tanks. Thin film has been used as a release film in carbon fibre composite manufacturing
