Holscot used their skills in vacuum forming, welding and etching FEP material to create containment tanks for the UK Ministry of Defence. We continue to manufacture self-supporting containment bags / bladders / tanks in sizes from 200ml to over 50l, for use in aerospace and satellites etc.
Constructed using glass or carbon fibre backed FEP, fabricated on a mandrel and overwrapped to form a homogeneous tank which is not only demisable but also significantly less heavy than traditional metal propellant tanks. These tanks can also be designed to incorporate fluoropolymer diaphragms.
Designed and developed to be a constant corrosion barrier against Aero Engine lubricants and fluids in Aero Engine fan casings.

Holscot can custom manufacture non-porous membranes from FEP using in-house techniques including vacuum forming, welding, etching and bonding.
We have manufactured parts for areas on planes which are at high-risk of corrosion from fluids, such as toilet areas, galleys, overhead lockers, black boxes etc. By using our FEP non-porous membranes that can exactly fit the contours of the area involved, a light-weight, flame resistant barrier to liquid ingress and therefore corrosion is created.
Because we manufacture all our products Holscot can provide everything from flat sheet, to fully formed custom parts. You will be buying direct from the manufacturer and benefiting from working with our over 50 years expertise in fluoropolymers.
